Shiwa designed by Yuki Nara for Poltrona Frau is a vase made of white clay using the slip casting technique. The process involves pouring liquid clay into a plaster mold. Thanks to its absorbent properties, the mold draws water from the mixture, enabling the gradual deposition of material along its inner walls until the desired thickness is achieved. Once the ceramic body is formed, the piece is removed, dried, and subsequently glazed. Available in different sizes.
