Company founded in 1899 thanks to the British engineer James Marshall, who had handmade a mattress with spiral springs wrapped in muslin for his sick wife, in Canada. This choice of necessity turns out to be a great intuition of comfort and design for the structure of the mattresses. A few years later, the prototype is introduced in Great Britain, improved and produced by John Nolon and Frederick James. Soon the mattresses marketed by the brand are in demand on ocean liners such as the Titanic and in homes all over the world, because they are made with natural materials. Silk, cashmere, horsehair and pure cotton for a product of the highest quality, now multi-awarded for design and innovation with a view to sustainable development.
