Hexagon is a stool designed by Steven Holl for Horm. Hollow modules made from Lecce stone or okumé plywood. The Lecce stone is a limestone from the region of Salento (in south-east Italy) able to withstand extreme weather conditions. Okumé, also known as gaboon, is a wood from tropical West Africa, resistant to humidity and light rain. The stools with natural okumé finish have a sprayed-on transparent water and acrylic and polyurethane resin based protective outdoor coating. The white okumé stools have a white mono-component waterbased outdoor coating.
